The Age of Exploration Globe is a detailed reproduction of a 1745 Vaugondy globe. Hand applied charts perfectly reproduced from the famous Dutch cartographer, Gerardus Mercator’’s engraved charts from 1541. Reprints of the original copperplate gores made in cooperation with the Royal Library in Bruxelles.
