This is a lovely replica of an original piece — we’ve seen ones like it in the collections of Forts and Fortresses across North America, and we can document its use from the 18th century right up through the early 20th! In thrifty households, the collected wick trimmings were kept and then used in the production of ink. Approximately 15.5cm (6″) in length.
